melted chocolate on a spoon

Ideally, you don’t just eat it by the spoonful…

The Fruit Bliss brand dried fruits are tender and moist because they’ve been infused with a touch of moisture.Yep, they’ve also been verified non-GMO by the Non-GMO Project. These chocolate dipped fruits in this recipe keep for weeks, but you won’t be able to keep them around long enough to worry about that!

Makes enough for 10 people

one 6-oz bag moist Fruit Bliss soft-dried figs 1 C organic chocolate chips
one 6-oz bag moist Fruit Bliss soft-dried apricots 1 spoonful of coconut oil or dairy cream, optional

Take fruit out of bags and place them next to a serving platter.Over medium heat and stirring constantly, melt chocolate in the top of a small double boiler (a pot inside another bottom pot – the bottom pot has water inside).Melting the chocolate will take about 5 minutes.

One by one, holding each fig and apricot by its side, just quickly dip fruit into chocolate so each piece is half coated by chocolate before putting them in a single layer onto a serving platter. If chocolate becomes stiff, reheat briefly over medium low heat.Set plate aside in a cool spot like a frig until chocolate is set, about 2 hours.Best served at room temp.

Prefer your chocolate a little softer?Add the spoonful of coconut oil or dairy cream.Want to try something a little different?Sprinkle Himalayan or Celtic salt over chocolate covered fruit.Feel free to dip your chocolate fruit in crushed nuts before putting onto the serving
